A Message From The County Executive

I am so honored to serve the residents of Rockland County and to welcome the thousands of people who come here to visit and enjoy our local attractions.

With deep-rooted history, rich tradition and a diverse population, Rockland is a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.  Rockland County truly has something for everyone, all within a short commute from New York City.  The County is home to many beautiful parks, top-notch schools, great dining and wonderful recreational opportunities.  Rockland is located just north of the New Jersey border and has incredible vistas, with the majestic Ramapo Mountains in the west and the Hudson River to the east.  

In addition to its scenic beauty, Rockland offers a warm, welcoming community and a responsive County government committed to serving its residents.  When I first became County Executive, my administration developed the following mission statement, which we have been guided by ever since:  We shall serve the people of Rockland County well by providing needed services in a high quality, ethical, courteous, timely and cost-effective manner.
